Hi, I’m Miriam Diana.

I’m a life coach. Specifically, a love-life and work-life coach.

To become a coach, I studied for three years at the Tantric Institute for Integrated Sexuality, where I learned Layla Martin’s VITA™ Method. This coaching certification program draws from both modern psychology and ancient healing traditions to awaken sexuality. As a coach, I use these holistic tools to help people unlock the ability to feel at home in their bodies, attract deep love, and step into their power.

What does “trauma-informed” mean?

I was trained as a trauma-informed coach. That means I know how to work with clients who have experienced trauma — including sexual assault, other forms of violence, and the death of a loved one.

I have held people in different stages of grief and sacred rage. My holding is strong enough to help people feel safe, but open enough to welcome people in whatever way they show up. You don’t have to worry about being “too much” with me.

Being trauma-informed also means I won’t pressure you — ever. I won’t push you past your boundaries in the name of “transformation.” I won’t make a hard sell, or try to get you to spend money that you don’t want to spend. I just want to help people.

At the same time, I’m not a psychologist. I require clients who have experienced trauma to be working with a dedicated trauma therapist while we work together, or to have worked with a trauma therapist before coaching. If we start working together and it turns out that you need a trauma therapist, I’ll refer you to one.

My Story

My whole life, I felt pushed and pulled by different desires.

And I obsessed over it. Oh, how I obsessed over it!

From the time I started dating, I felt like an octopus with tentacles that were reaching for different things. One tentacle wanted to get it on with someone, another wanted to run away, and another wanted love.

Meanwhile, I responded to any type of rejection with hardcore, obsessive self-shaming.

Sound familiar?

My suffering was so bad that I tried all types of therapy. Talk therapy based in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) was helpful at first because I finally got to share what was going on with me. But it didn’t go deep enough. I still struggled with a sense of self-hate, and I couldn’t escape from the hell of rumination.

All that over-thinking and self-shaming showed up big time in my love life — whether it was just flirting or a long-term relationship. I wanted to feel confident and content in my love life but I didn’t know how.

More About Me

At Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, I learned how to interview people — and reveal the deeper truth behind their stories. As a writer and performance artist for two decades, I honed my ability to thrive in a society that attacks sensitive souls.

And as an abortion rights activist, I sharpened my ability to see hypocrisy in systems of power — including toxic power dynamics in relationships.

I use all of those same skills as a love-life and work-life coach.

What really helped me in my love life: Finding wise, caring guides.

My guides have been somatic therapists, life coaches & spiritual leaders.

In my coaching, I use the Vital Integrated Tantric Approach (VITA)™ from one of those guides — Tantric teacher and relationship coach Layla Martin. This methodology combines modern psychological tools based in neurobiology with ancient traditions, including meditation and mindfulness.

I also draw from my personal experience with a variety of therapeutic approaches: dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), movement therapy, art therapy, somatic experiencing therapy, EFT Tapping (Emotional Freedom Techniques), EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), compassionate inquiry, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy.

Share your story with me.

I’ll let you know how I can help.
